Supercross

Saturday we went to the Supercross in Salt Lake City. It's become a tradition of ours; this year was the third year. Last year the Supercross was on our anniversary, but this year it was the day before. It was really fun.

We got down there around 2:30 and walked around the pits (where all the riders and their crews hang out.) I really wanted to get Chad Reeds signature because I have his t-shirt, and he's really good!! But they handed out tickets for autographs and I was 4 people behind the last ticket! I was so upset! But oh well, I have already waited one year, I guess I'll have to wait another year. :) I was able to get pretty close to him though.

While we were down there, we entered a contest to win some stuff, and after they had the drawing they were throwing out more prizes. A rider, Ivan Tedesco, was out for the season so they were going through his gear bag and giving all his stuff away. Amazingly, Rob caught some of his goggles! They're really nice goggles too!! He was pretty excited!!

I only say its amazing, because last year he caught goggles too. Only the goggles last year were extra special. The winner of the race last year, Kevin Windham, was making a victory lap and stopped on top of a jump right in front of us. We were sitting on the 2nd row, and Rob motioned for him to throw his goggles. So he did! Right to us! Actually, right to me. So Rob jumped over me, and caught them before anyone else could. It was really cool. This picture is of Rob last year with Kevin Windham's goggles.

We also got a photo with Jeff Emig, the SPEED channel announcer, and Rob got him to sign his Supercross hat. It was pretty neat.

Getting ready to go watch the practices.

Just waiting in between the practices and the main event. It was really starting to get cold. :)

It was a freezing night, but for the first time in 3 years, it didn't rain or snow hardly at all! So it was well worth it. We love the Supercross and can't wait till next year. (I love this tradition!)
