Today we ate lunch at that Mexican place, Pistolera, and then headed over to the Jing’an temple in Pu Xi. It’s a Buddhist temple that is right n the middle of the city. It’s really neat how right in between all the really tall buildings there’s just an ancient Chinese looking temple. It was neat to go visit it. There was a 40 foot tall silver Buddha in the main building which was huge!
After the temple, we went to ride the Mag Lev. It’s a speed train that goes to and fro from the airport from a station in the middle of Pu Dong. It’s only about 10 minutes away from my parents place, and it was the one thing we decided that we wanted to do before we got here. It was so fast! It only took 7 minutes and it would have taken 30 minutes in a car. We got up to 430 kilometers an hour which is about 260 miles an hour. It was really fast!!
When we were leaving we bought a few souvenirs, and then headed back home. We just relaxed and took naps for a little while. Then we had to go over to the church building because Amie had a young women’s activity that we were all invited to.
After the activity, we got Papa John’s and then watched another movie. :) We watched Date Night, and then headed to bed. It was another good day!
