Christmas

This is a little late, but this was our Christmas holiday.

It started with Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Knowles' house with the whole Knowles family. It's a tradition. We ate tempura shrimp and tempura veggies, with fried rice. It was delicious. Then each family "performed" a musical number, we sang songs, and read the Christmas story. Then, we opened presents. :)

This was our family's musical number. We played the bells. :)

Christmas morning we woke up and opened presents with Rob's family. I got a gift card to the Hale Center theater which I love!! I also got some jewelry and a sweatshirt. Rob got me an iPhone, which I also love!! It's the coolest phone I have ever had! He also got me some earrings, and some lotions and perfume from Victoria's Secret. Rob got some really sweet cowboy boots, a few movies, and a hitch with a few different sizes of balls for our truck. I got him a sports illustrated subscription, an Indianapolis Colts t-shirt, and a few movies. This wasn't everything, but some of our favorites. We were really spoiled.

This is us trying to entice Nelly to finish looking through her stocking, but she was too happy with her blue bone to finish looking through her goodies. :)

Me and my iPhone! (In my awesome silk PJs I got from Grandma Knowles.)

After presents with his family, we went over to Grandma Montgomery's for the annual Christmas breakfast. Almost the entire Montgomery family was there, and it was tons of fun! We got a few things, including a puzzle, which I did over the break all by myself! (I am not a puzzle person, so this was a huge accomplishment!)

We had Christmas with my family a little late because my parents were in California for Christmas. But, we celebrated a few days late at a cabin in Eden, which is really close to Huntsville. It's in the Ogden Valley on the way up to Powder Mountain. It was really fun. I'll post more about the whole vacation a little later. Our highlights were: I got a bread machine!! And clothes, some books, and jewelry. Rob got a GoPro video recorder and some PJs, and a few movies.

Rob was super excited about his camera!

Me opening my bread machine!!

Nelly was so tired that night!

All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas! I love spending time with family,
and I love the feeling that surrounds us.

  1. Melissa I love this post! Sounds like you had a fun fun christmas break. We had our first Portuguese class today and Joanna and I missed you. Hope it's going well for you up there, I'll have to call sometime and see how you're doing. Also... we should get together sometime!
