Wolf Creek

After my family got into town on December 27th, we all went to stay at a condo in Wolf Creek. Wolf Creek is actually only about 10 minutes away from Rob's house, in the Ogden Valley. We were there from Wednesday December 28th, to Sunday January 2nd. It was so much fun!! It wasn't really a condo, although that's what it's called. It's actually a house that is just rented out. It was really quite and private where we were, so it was amazing.

We got there Wednesday evening, and that night was the night we celebrated Christmas with my family. I love Christmas.

Thursday we were all going to go skiing, except Rob because he had to work. However, when I woke up, I didn't feel good at all, so I stayed home with my mom and just relaxed while the rest of the family went out. There was an indoor hot tub at the cabin, so we sat in it for a bit. Then I worked on that crazy puzzle I posted a picture of last time, and that's about it. We watched TV and I puzzled for probably 6 hours. Haha, it felt really good. Thursday night we went out to eat with Rob's family in the valley. We went to Carlos and Harleys, and it took forever because there were 11 of us, but I still liked it. I love their food.

Friday, we all went to Hardware Ranch to see the elk. It was pretty amazing, and there were some pretty big bulls...But it was freezing!! That night we played games and waited for the new year!! We made scones with dough from my new bread machine, and drank tons of sparkling apple cider. By about 12:30, everyone was in bed. Haha, we were going skiing the next morning and had to wake up early.

Saturday we woke up and went skiing. It was so fun! It was also SO COLD!! It probably never got above 5 degrees all day long, and it was pretty windy. The windchill was in the negatives. It was so cold that the snow wouldn't even let us slide on our skis. We were pushing ourselves down a few places. It was really strange. When we got back at about 3 or 4, I jumped straight in the hot tub. My skin has never been so frozen! But the hot tub felt amazing.

Saturday night we made a nice big dinner because we hadn't had one to celebrate Christmas or anything, so we just choose New Years. We had a delicious ham, funeral potatoes, green been casserole, ambrosia fruit salad, and rolls. It was wonderful. We played some more games after dinner, and late that night when everyone was going to bed, Rob and I decided we should head home. We got called to teach primary, and the next Sunday was our first day. We hadn't planned the lesson, and didn't want to be late. So we got home around 11, and headed to bed.

It was such a fun trip! I'm really glad my family was able to go up there!!
