I went to
St. Louis last weekend...It was absolutely amazing!! I went out because one of my best friends, Alison, was having an engagement party. (She's getting married in Australia to an Australian guy and then living in Australia...So I'll pretty much never see her.) It was so fun!!!

I flew out really early Friday morning...My flight left at 6:20, so we had to leave our house at 4:20, and I had to wake up at 2:30!!! (I didn't go to bed until 12:30 the night before, so I was dead!!) I got in around 1 PM, and Amanda picked me up. I stayed with her at the house where she works. She cares for a quadriplegic man on the weekends, and stays at his home. But, we didn't have to be over there until 6 that night, so we had time to kill. The first thing we did was drive past my old house. It was so weird being back there!! I hadn't been to St. Louis in 7 years! But my house still looked pretty much the same...It still has the same mailbox. Haha.

So, after seeing my house, we hung out at Amanda's place for a while, then ran a few errands we had to get done. I stopped by my old dance studio because I wanted to see my old teachers, however, only one was there. Haha, I wanted to surprise them, so I guess that's what I get. I made plans with my other teacher to have lunch later that weekend. It was so fun to be back in my studio!!! They've made tons of upgrades in the past 7 years, but all in all, it's still the same studio that I loved so much.

So, that night we went over to Mike's (the quadriplegic man) and Tina joined us!! We watched a movie - The Social Network - and had an awesome night together!! The next morning Tina and I went out to breakfast with MaryJo. Amanda couldn't leave because then Mike would have been alone. It was still fun though. After IHOP, we all went back to Mike's to be with Amanda. We just sat and talked for a few hours. It was so fun catching up!! I've missed everyone so badly, so it was really good to have everyone back together.

Saturday afternoon, I went to the mall with Tina. I wanted to buy a few people some Valentine's Day gifts, so that was fun. After the mall, Tina dropped me off and the church and I helped set up for Alison's engagement party. I love Alison and her family, and am so happy I was able to see them!! Everyone was shocked to see me there. I mean, I hadn't been there for 7 years, and then all of the sudden, I show up for a party?! I'd be a little shocked too. :) I hung out there until the party started, and then I was able to see almost everyone I wanted to!! Alison was the most important, and I was so happy when she got there. She saw me sitting near the back of the gym, and as soon as we made eye contact, we both started "running" to each other. I hadn't seen her in 3 years, since before she left for her mission to Germany.

I saw almost everyone that was in my ward when I was there, and it was so good!! I met Alison's fiance, Grant. He's a really great guy. I'm so happy they found each other!! He is so polite!! He opens every single door for women, and not just Alison! He opened my car door all the time and I was thoroughly impressed!! I feel like no one does that anymore, so I was so glad that he did!

So, that night, Tina picked me up and took me out to see her family. I love her family!! I went to Florida with them a few years ago, and I hadn't seen them since then! They moved, and live in a city called New Town right now. It's a city built by the same people who built the city in Florida where they filmed The Truman Show. It was so different and so cute!! It was almost like walking into a movie. Haha, but I loved it. And I was so happy to see her mom and sister! (And I met her cute big puppy!!)

The next morning, Brother Jordan picked me up for church, and I was so grateful! I've missed the Jordans so much since I've been gone, so it was wonderful to see them!! At church I was able to see all the people I missed from the night before, so it was really good. It was, however, really weird to see how much the ward has changed since we've been gone. :) It was fun.

After church was when I was able to see my other dance teacher, Miss Sharon. It was so good and fun!! She was so kind to drive clear from Six Flags area to come see me...(that's about 45 minutes of a drive.) She drove all the way up to pick me up, since I didn't have a car. Then we went out to St. Charles, about 20 minutes away, and she drove me all the way back to Amanda's! It was so nice!! She kept saying it didn't phase her anymore because she'd been driving that much for so long now, but I'm still really grateful she didn't mind.

Sunday night, I was able to go over to Alison's house and spend time with her, Grant, and her family. I love them so much! Alison has always been like a big sister to me, so it was so fun! I was happy to see her Saturday at her party, but I wasn't really able to spend any time with her alone. Everyone else wanted to congratulate her, so I just decided Sunday would be our day...And it was! I was at her house for a few hours, and we just talked. Us and Grant, and it was so amazing. I'm so happy for her!! It was so wonderful to be able to go out and see her and all my other friends.

Monday morning, I woke up and had to leave for the airport. My flight wasn't as early as it was the other day, so I was grateful for that. Amanda took me to the airport, and I was sad to leave. It was such a fun trip!! And I packed so much into just 2 days that it felt like I was there for a week! That was an awesome feeling. In my opinion, there is nothing better when your in school than just getting up and leaving in the middle of the semester for no reason!! I loved it!! I'm so grateful I was able to go out for the weekend, and hope to be able to do it some other time soon, with Rob, and for more than just 2 days!!
Monday was Valentine's Day, and when Rob picked me up from the airport that afternoon, he had a dozen red roses with him. It was so sweet!! No one's ever given me a dozen roses, so I loved it! We stayed in Salt Lake for the night and went out to eat at Tucano's Brazilian Grill. It's one of our favorite places!! It was such a good weekend/Valentine's Day.
I love my life!
