Guess Who

Last night at a Relief Society activity, they spotlighted some of the new sisters in the ward...I was one of them, but didn't know it was coming. Here's the photo they showed before anyone knew it was me. When I saw the photo, I started laughing really hard, so I kind of gave it away. I'm not good at hiding things like that.

Here' s what was read...courtesy of my mom via my mother-in-law. (They talked to Linda about it, and she emailed my mom. My mom sent this bio and the photo.)

"Melissa Lin was born on September 17, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. Her family lived there at the time. It was the opening day of the summer Olympics in Seoul that year, so the hospital was very understaffed. It was considered a national holiday. she has two older brothers, Christopher and Ryan who are both married, and a younger sister Amie, who is a senior in high school.

When Melissa was almost 1 year old, her family moved back to St. Louis, Missouri. They lived there for the next 14 years. When she was 15, they moved to Rogers, Arkansas, where she attended high school before moving to Utah to attend BYU.

Melissa was very active as a little girl and young woman. She loves music and sings and plays the piano and violin beautifully. She studied dance for 11 years and is quite the tapper. She was active in Girl Scouts, and usually sold the most cookies in her troop. In the summers she was on the local swimming team and spent a few summers working as a lifeguard. She always loved to babysit.

The summer after she graduated from high school, Melissa met a wonderful guy who was in Arkansas selling pest control. They became friends right away, and after moving to Utah in the fall for school, they began dating. They went to visit Melissa's family in China for Christmas and became engaged on the Great Wall! About 4 months later, they were married in the Logan Temple.

Melissa's interest now included skiing and taking care of their little dog, Nelly. Melissa is continuing her education at Weber State University and working part time at Gold's Gym."

Thanks Mom! I love you!!
