I set a record the other week. I quit a job after only 4 days. It wasn't that bad, and I could have put up with it, but I had a better offer and wasn't going to turn it down!
Two Thursdays ago, the HR lady from Westmark Credit Union called me again. (They are the ones I interviewed with a few weeks ago, and didn't get the job.) Anyway, she said there was another opening, and wanted to see if I wanted an interview. I went in the next afternoon for an interview, luckily on Fridays, I was getting off work at 3, so there was plenty of time.
I thought the interview went really well, and 45 minutes later the HR lady called me back and offered me the job! I was super excited! She wanted me to start Monday, so I did. I was still in training at my data entry job, so I didn't think they'd want to keep teaching me things. And, I was right.
It was a little awkward quitting the job because I called the man in my ward who got my the job. He was pretty high up in the company, and seemed a little upset and surprised. But, I think he understands now.
I started Monday with the HR lady and when we were done she took me out to lunch. Then I went to my branch and began work. I'm a teller, and it's a full time position. The job is perfect. I love the people I work with, it's full time with fully paid benefits, it's only 7 minutes from my house, and I'm making more that I've ever made. It's just really good.
I also get an hour lunch each day so I can come home and let Nelly out and do some other things. Most days I do the dishes so I won't have to when I get home in the evening. It's really nice.
The only downfall to this job is I don't get home till 6:30, but in my opinion, it's a small price to pay for an awesome job!! I'm really excited about this, in case you couldn't tell. I've been working there for a week and a half, and love it!!
