Currently, Nelly is our baby. She's a cute 8 month old West Highland Terrier full of way too much energy. We got Nelly on June 11, 2010. Nelly's favorite things to do are: run around in the grass, play with our socks, sleep in really funny positions, play with her best doggie friends, and talk to us. She can do tons of tricks and is one of the smartest dogs we know. She can sit, shake, lay down, roll over, stay, stand up on her hind legs, and dance pretty (which means walk around in a circle while standing on her back legs.) Unfortunately, we have not trained her to come yet, so that one should be next. :) She's adorable.
Our first dog was Chuck. He was a yellow lab and the most gentlest of dogs. We got Chuck on May 31, 2008, just shy of a month after we were married. He was 6 months old when we got him, and had him until March 6, 2010 when we lost him in a tragic accident. His favorite things to do were sit in the lounge chairs, run around on the farm, play with his fellow farm dog friends, and sing along with Rob on the harmonica and David, Rob's dad, on the trombone. Chuck lived on Rob's parents farm, and always was so excited when we would visit that he would try to talk to us. (We like to think he was telling us about his latest adventures.)When we first lost Chuck, we weren't sure if we'd get another dog. But after a little while, we decided that there is just something about a dog's company. Once you have one, it's really hard not to. There's just something about the fact that they love us no matter what happens. They're really comforting, and we are so glad we chose to get another one, because Nelly is as cute as could be! We think if Nelly and Chuck could have met, they'd be best friends...Two of the world's sweetest puppies.
